Our hospital specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex and critical conditions, with leading expertise in severe traumatic brain injury, spinal disorders, scoliosis, acute myocardial infarction, malignant tumors, minimally invasive interventional therapy for major vascular diseases such as aortic dissection and aneurysms, and advanced laparoscopic procedures in thoracic, abdominal, joint, urologic, and gynecologic surgery. We are also recognized for pioneering approaches to chronic conditions that are challenging to treat with conventional Western medicine. As an International SOS designated hospital, we continue to strengthen our collaboration with medical resources worldwide.

Our Centers of Excellence: Specialized Care Tailored for You
Cancer Center: Precision Therapy for Complex and Advanced Cancers
The center brings together advanced domestic and international technologies to provide chemotherapy, precision radiotherapy (including IMRT and Gamma Knife stereotactic radiotherapy), targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy for refractory solid tumors. Through a multidisciplinary team (MDT) comprising specialists in medical oncology, surgery, radiotherapy, imaging, pathology, and traditional Chinese medicine, we deliver personalized and precise treatment plans.
GyroKnife Stereotactic Radiotherapy
This state-of-the-art technology targets tumors in complex anatomical regions—such as the brainstem, skull base, and spinal metastases—as well as tumors resistant to conventional radiotherapy. It achieves sub-millimeter precision, delivering high-dose radiation while preserving critical structures like the optic nerve, brainstem, spinal cord, and heart. Key applications include:
Brain tumors: Treatment of high-risk gliomas, brainstem tumors, and brain metastases (e.g., from lung or breast cancer), improving survival and neurological function.
Solid tumors: Local control for inoperable locally advanced tumors or residual disease, often combined with targeted or immunotherapy.
Recurrent or metastatic disease: A therapeutic option for patients who have not responded to prior treatments, offering symptom relief and prolonged survival.
Minimally Invasive Tumor Therapies
Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE): Blocks tumor blood supply to inhibit growth.
Microwave ablation: Uses thermal energy to destroy tumors.
Cryoablation: Employs ultra-low temperatures to eradicate lesions.
Radioactive seed implantation: Delivers continuous low-dose radiation via implanted iodine-125 seeds.
2. Cardiovascular Center: Minimally Invasive Management of Complex Heart and Vascular Conditions
As a provincial key specialty, the center integrates cardiology and cardiac surgery to offer comprehensive care for coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, structural heart disease, aortic dissection/aneurysms, congenital heart defects, and peripheral vascular diseases. Utilizing advanced imaging and navigation systems such as DSA, 3D mapping, and IVUS, we perform a wide range of procedures including coronary stenting, drug-coated balloon angioplasty, radiofrequency ablation, pacemaker/ICD implantation, left atrial appendage closure, TAVR, TEER, minimally invasive coronary bypass, valve surgery, endovascular aortic repair, venous thrombosis management, and microwave ablation for varicose veins.
3. Neuroscience and Brain Science Center: Advanced Brain and Spine Care with Neural Preservation
Combining microsurgery, endovascular therapy, and functional protection strategies, the center provides integrated care from emergency intervention through rehabilitation. Our multidisciplinary team includes experts in neurosurgery, neurology, neuroimaging, and rehabilitation, working together to tailor treatments for complex brain and spinal disorders. Services include:
Emergency neurosurgery: Decompressive craniotomy, minimally invasive hematoma drainage, aneurysm embolization/clipping, and mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke.
Brain tumor resection: Neuronavigation-guided removal of meningiomas, gliomas, pituitary tumors, and acoustic neuromas.
Cerebrovascular interventions: Embolization of aneurysms and AVMs, revascularization for moyamoya disease.
Functional neurosurgery: Microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm; deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease.
Spinal cord surgery: Release of tethered cord, resection of intraspinal tumors, and embolization of vascular malformations.
4. Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center: Specialized Care for Complex Joint and Spinal Condition
A leader in joint replacement, minimally invasive spine surgery, and complex trauma repair, the center offers integrated surgical and rehabilitation programs for severe osteoarthritis, degenerative spinal disease, and sports-related injuries. Our joint replacement procedures—including hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle—are performed through incisions under 10 cm, allowing patients to mobilize within 24 hours. Spinal services feature endoscopic discectomy (7 mm incision) and UBE-assisted decompression and fusion. The trauma team specializes in minimally invasive fixation of complex fractures, while the hand and microsurgery team performs precision replantation with vascular anastomosis at the 0.1 mm level.
Prof.Wang Wenjun’s Team: Pioneers in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery
Bladder function reconstruction: Restores urinary control in patients with neurogenic bladder.
Growing rod systems for early-onset scoliosis: Provides dynamic correction for children under age 10.
3D-printed artificial vertebrae for spinal tumors: Enables en bloc resection and stable reconstruction.
External fixation for osteoporotic spinal fractures: Offers minimally invasive stabilization for elderly patients.
The team is internationally recognized through the Asia Pacific Spine Society and the World Trauma Society, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr.Xinzhan Mao’s Team:World-Renowned Joint Surgery
Professor Mao is a globally recognized expert in joint replacement and revision surgery.
Complex Joint Replacement & Revision:
Specializes in complex hip and knee replacements, revisions, and pelvic fractures.
A national leader in cemented joint techniques, with over 4,000 knee replacements performed.
Manages severe deformities and complex revision cases (e.g., failed high tibial osteotomy).
Precision Robotics:
Pioneered Mako robotic surgery in Central China, performing the nation's first Mako-assisted hybrid total hip arthroplasty.
Achieved sub-millimeter precision with Hunan's first Brainlab-navigated total knee arthroplasty in 2020.
5. Gastroenterology Center: Precision Endoscopy and Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Interventions
Equipped with digital endoscopy, EUS, and duodenoscopy systems, the center provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for:
Esophageal and gastrointestinal disorders: GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, peptic ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, and early-stage cancers.
Hepatobiliary-pancreatic diseases: Cirrhosis, portal hypertension, gallstones, and acute/chronic pancreatitis.
Advanced procedures include:
ERCP: For stone extraction and biliary stenting.
ESD:For curative resection of early gastrointestinal cancers.
EUS-guided interventions: For biopsy, nerve blockade, and drainage.
Laparoscopic and open surgery:For liver tumors, pancreatic diseases, and sphincter-preserving rectal cancer surgery.
An MDT approach ensures holistic management of complex cancers.
6. Traditional Medicine Center: Integrative Care for Chronic Disease and Cancer Support
Blending traditional wisdom with modern medicine, the center offers:
